Durga Nagar Welfare Committee discusses demands

JAMMU, June 24: A meeting of Durga Nagar Welfare Committee was held under the chairmanship of Roshan Lal Raina, its president today.
The meeting demanded issuance of orders to displaced youth who have been declared successful in the written test for the posts of statistical assistants, legal assistants’ teachers and those who are in waiting list of Pulwama district.
The meeting said that lot of time has passed since the selected candidates have submitted their papers to the concerned departments for issuance of orders, but till date nothing has been done. The meeting demanded immediate issuance of orders so that the candidates do not suffer any more.
The meeting also demanded enhancement of cash relief to migrants and made an appeal to Prime Minister in this regard. It also appealed the Chief Engineer R&B to issue directives to concerned Executive engineers to start the works in Durga Nagar which have already been tendered by the Department.
The meeting also appealed the Chairman J&K Bank, R K Chibber to establish ATM in Durga Nagar.
