VRS given SRTC workers stage protest

JAMMU, Feb 28: Volunteer retirement given workers and employees of  State Road Transport Corporation (SRTC) held protest demonstration and dharna at Exhibition Ground, near Press Club here today.
The VRS given employees of the SRTC under the banner of  All J&K SRTC Volunteer Retirement Employees Association assembled at the Exhibition Ground here in the morning and held strong protest demonstration. Dev Raj Bali, president and general secretary Surinder Singh were leading the protest. The agitating members of the association were raising slogans in support of their demands.
The retired employees  condemned the management of the SRTC and alleged that some people in bureaucracy were road block in resolution of their pending issues. They shouted loud slogans against SRTC Management and sought intervention of the Minister for Transport, Mohd Ramzan. They were also raising slogans projecting their pending demands.
While addressing gathering Mr Bali and other speakers demanded that their arrears of 126 COLA slabs be released and  all benefits of  6th Pay Commission in  favour of voluntarily retired SRTC workers be accorded without any delay. They also projected demand of releasing due drawn bill including leave salary gratuity and ex-gratia grant.
