JAMMU, June 26: Gangyal police arrested a criminal and recovered country made pistol along with live cartridge from his possession.
As per police sources, on reliable information, a team from Gangyal Police Station led by SHO Inspector Sunil Singh Jasrotia under the supervision of SDPO South Dr Sunniya Ashkoor Wani and SP South Vinay Sharma laid a naka and intercepted a pedestrian.
During checking, police team recovered country made pistol along with live cartridge from the possession of the pedestrian and arrested him.
The arrested person has been identified as Amit Kumar, son of Sadugar Mal of Shibu Chak, at present Jeevan Nagar Jammu.
A case under FIR Number 56/19 under section 3/25 Arms Act has been registered at Gangyal Police Station and investigation started.
