UDHAMPUR, June 28: Local villagers and students of Government High School Sadhota in Panchari today protested against shortage of teaching staff in the school, which is being run by only two teachers.
The protesting students and villagers raised slogans against the Education Department and demanded immediate posting of teachers in the school.
They lamented that despite having students’ strength of above one hundred, the school has no Headmaster as well as adequate number of teachers. There is no fixed school timing because of no adequate teaching staff with the result that students are suffering, they added.
The Education Department has posted only two teachers for ten classes in this high school while the Third teacher of Master Grade, who was transferred to this school two years back, didn’t join here and remained attached to another school, the villagers explained and lamented that the attached teacher was drawing salary from this school.
