UDHAMPUR, June 29: A youth committed suicide by consuming some poisonous substance at his residence in Bharat Nagar Udhampur.
A police spokesman said that Shakeel Ahmed (28), son of Manzoor Ali of Bharat Nagar Udhampur, consumed some poisonous substance at his residence. The family members noticed him in serious condition and rushed him to District Hospital Udhampur where he died during the treatment.
Cause of provocation behind the extreme step could not be immediately ascertained while the Police, after completion of all the formalities and postmortem, handed over the dead body to family members. A case has been registered in this connection for further investigation.
