Balti Bath

Sir,
The concept of Balti Bath is rapidly popularizing, getting viral day by day in many regions of the country which are confronting with acute shortage of water. The crisis of water is looming large across the world. Most of the countries have started feeling the heat. Damage control exercise need be taken on war footing. All the five cosmic elements that is Earth, Water, Fire, Air, Ether are quintessential for existence of the temporal world. The phenomenal universe cannot be imagined sans the aforementioned invaluable constituents.
Strict restraint on gross misuse of water and unwarranted consumption for ulterior activities shall have to be exercised. Self initiative and unflinching commitment is the call. Everything cannot be resolved at Govt. level. Every member of the family has a responsibility to check as to which are major areas wherein family as a unit is indulging into excessive consumption and what remedial measures we can undertake in one stroke. Daily car washing by using water pipes at residence and unbridled use of washing machines are two glaring examples. Huge wastage of water is reportedly happening day in and day out at the religious places of worship irrespective of caste and creed, palatial buildings of political, social organizations and the corporate houses. Reasonable moral as well as administrative restraint needs be applied forthwith. It is a soothing omen that some of the religious preachers, social activists and a good chunk of saner elements amongst the common masses have commenced the sensitization drive on this score and simultaneously some media houses have also launched ” Make India water positive initiative”. Unarguably few more pioneering and concerted efforts can be made in the area of dealing with the killer shortage of water on the following lines: Presently the thrust of overall development at all levels is by and large anti nature, the focus shall have to be turned to Eco friendly, nature friendly way of life and model of development. Mandatory implementation of Harvesting of Rain water at all levels. Long pending project of linking of rivers be undertaken on time bound basis. Back to villages drive is a golden concept, needs be made easy and promptly adaptable. Save rivers, save water bodies, wells and ponds in the country side. Gradually and strategically switch over to organic mode of farming. The bottom line is conserve water, conserve life.
