KISHTWAR, July 3: Deputy Commissioner, Angrez Singh Rana, convened a meeting to review arrangements for upcoming Sarthal Yatra scheduled to be held on 9th and 10th July.
Assistant Commissioner Development Kishtwar, Anil Kumar Chandail, Tehsildar Kishtwar, Parmod Kumar, Officers from Army, CISF, CRPF, District Officers of PWD (R&B), PHE, PDD, Health, Traffic, Transport, CA&PD, Fire & Emergency Services besides representatives of Sri Sarthal Devi Ji management Council and members of Santan Dharam Kishtwar were present in the meeting.
The Deputy Commissioner directed the concerned departments to ensure adequate supply of drinking water, medical facilities, ambulance, toilet facility and sufficient number of vehicles for the devotees.
In order to keep check over use of polythene bags, he asked the concerned officers to strictly implement ban on use of polythene bags in and around temple premises. He asked Block Project Manager, JK SRLM to extend support to UMEED workers of the district so that they can prepare biodegradable hand bags.
The arrangements regarding security and availability of fire tenders were also reviewed.
