LEH, July 3: Expressing shock over the alleged sexual assault over minor girl allegedly by LBA sacked president, Tsewang Thinles, various student Unions here today demanded reshuffle in the executive body of the organization.
In a joint press conference Ladakh Student Welfare Society Delhi president, Jigmet Paljor flanked by Ladakh Student Association Chandigarh president, Thinles Nurbo, student leader and social activist, Dechen and LEAF president, Phuntsog Stobgyal said student have now no faith on LBA executive body so there should be complete reshuffle after holding general council meeting of over 450 members.
The student also said that LBA has failed to take any action on the allegations despite written complains.
“The accused has brought disgrace to the whole Buddhist community and Ladakh and has misused his power to exploit an innocent girl,” the student leaders said.
They flayed the ex-president of LBA for sexually assaulting the poor girl on pretext of helping her ailing mother.
They said that the girl was deeply hurt but managed courage to spoke about this unfortunate incident.
