SRINAGAR, July 4: The Jammu and Kashmir Pensioners Welfare Association today said that nearly 42882 cases of pensioners under 7th Pay Commission have been cleared by the Government at the end of June this year.
The spokesperson of the association said out of total 1,24,000 cases of pensioners under 7th Pay Commission that were received in the office of Accountant General, 42,882 cases have been settled at the end of June this year. “This is in addition to 12,586 normal cases of pensioners and family pensioners,” he said.
He added that on the instructions of Chief Justice, Legal Service Authority has taken up the matter of disposal of the pending pension cases with the principal accountant who has responded positively, “The association is hopeful that the remaining pending cases are swiftly cleared by the Accountant General,” he said.
