JAMMU, July 6: Dr Cheena Langer (Dermatologist) has been awarded the prestigious fellowship in Surgical & Cosmetic Dermatology by Sapienza University of Rome, Italy.
She is the first Dermatologist from J&K to get this fellowship. She was selected for this fellowship under merit category. She did this fellowship under mentorship of Prof (Dr) Carmen Cartisani and supervision of Director (Prof) Stefano Calvieri DAI Ematologia – Oncologia – Dermatologia UOC Clinica Dermatologica, Rome, Italy.
During the fellowship, she was trained in General Dermatology, Dermascopy & Videodermascopy, Cancers of Skin & Photo Dynamic Therapy, Plastic Surgery and Lasers of Skin. Dr Cheena is an alumni of Government Medical College, Jammu. She has done her MBBS & MD (Dermatology, Leprology & Venerology) from GMC Jammu.
She has served in J&K Health Department, Shri Mata Vaishno Devi Shrine Board and ESI Hospital Bari Brahmna, Jammu. Presently, she is working as a full time Private Practitioner at Aastha Skin Centre, Karan Nagar (Amphalla) in Jammu.
