UDHAMPUR, July 6: KLSM Rotary Eye & ENT Hospital and Rotary Club here today organized free eye and dental screening camp at Panchayat Ghar Mansar, Block Udhampur in collaboration with Karam Karte Chalo Welfare Society.
Free medicines were distributed to poor patients by the NRI Vision Care India through Ashwani Bhat, Business Development Manager.
In eye OPD Dr Sharika Ganjoo examined 90 patients out of which 10 were screened for cataract surgery while in dental OPD Dr Neha Slathia examined 37 patients.
Hans Raj, Sarpanch Mansar and Vikas, Chairman, Pooja Devi, President, Bharat Bushan, General Secretary, Arun Kumar of Karam Karte Chalo Welfare Society actively participated by providing wide publicity among the rural masses regarding the camp.
Col. Hargovind Singh (Retd.), President and S.S Kerni, Secretary Rotary Club Udhampur actively participated in the camp and Rotary Club Udhampur committed to continue to organize more such camps in rural and backward areas of J&K to prevent the preventable blindness in the State.
