Freight rates up on tight position of trucks

NEW DELHI, Mar 2:  Freight rates for 10-tonne pay load section rose by Rs.1000 in the local truck transport market today on tight position of trucks.
Transporters said less availability of trucks in the markets mainly pushed up some of centre’s freights.
Delhi to Hyderabad and Vijaywada rates moved up by Rs.1000 each to Rs.48,000 and Rs.51,000.
Rates to Pune, Patna and Baroda also went up by Rs.1000 each to Rs.31,000, Rs.27,000 and Rs.25,000.
