Female Army Captain dies in road accident

Accidental car which rammed into roadside shed resulting into death of female Army Captain.

UDHAMPUR, July 8: A female Captain of Indian Army died in a road accident near Jib Morh, Rehambal, here late last night.
The deceased was identified as Captain Navita Rajan, posted at One Field Ordnance Depot (1FOD) Udhampur. She was on way from Rehambal to Ghari when driver of her car lost control over the vehicle, which skidded off the road and rammed into a tin shed near Gurudwara Jib Morh.
Police and some locals shifted the accident victims to Military Hospital Udhampur where doctors declared her as brought dead.
Reports said that the accident took place last night around 12.15 am when the car bearing registration number RJ09CB-0853 was on way from Rehambal to Ghari. Rehambal Police has registered the case in this connection.
Meanwhile, an elderly man was run over by Delhi Sarai Rohilla Special Express Train at Channi Morh Dhar Road Udhampur Railway track.
The train was on its way from Delhi to Katra when it hit the deceased, identified as a Prem Chandra (66) son of Ramila, resident of village Kroa. The police after completion of all the formalities and postmortem, handed over the dead body to family members.
