REASI, July 11: Police today foiled an attempt of bovine smuggling at Dharmari and rescued seven cattle besides arresting two accused smugglers.
During the intervening night of July 10-11, a Police party of PCP Dharmari laid a naka at Dhaman Dharmari and intercepted the bovine smugglers namely Shukar Din son of Mithya and Liaqat Ali son of Bashir Ahmad, both resident of Padhar Matlote, Tehsil Thuroo.
The accused were smuggling seven bovine animals on foot towards Kashmir. Police arrested the accused and rescued the bovine animals. In this regard, a case FIR Number 48/19, under Section 188/RPC has registered at Police Station Arnas.
