Jan Sangharsh Sanstha launches ‘Justice for Udhampur District’ campaign

UDHAMPUR, July 14: Jan Sangharsh Sanstha today announced launching of a campaign ‘Justice for Udhampur District’ seeking establishment of Medical College as well Mini-Secretariat at district level and Child & Maternity Hospitals at block level besides filling up of vacant posts in Health Department.
Giving this information while launching the campaign, Jan Sangharsh Patron-in-Chief Advocate Sanjeet Bavouria said that district Udhampur, spread in 2,637 sq km area, has total population of 554985 as per 2011 census. However, he added, Medical facilities for such a large population and area are virtually negligible with the result that a number of people die because of no treatment.
Bavoria said that the Jan Sangharsh Sanstha had already submitted a memorandum of demands to the Governor through Deputy Commissioner but there was no adequate response from the Raj Bhawan. Therefore, he added, to get the demands highlighted and conceded , the organization today launched Justice for Udhampur District campaign.
“Under the campaign, people in all wards and Panchayats of Udhampur district will be made aware about the issues for seeking their support to get the demands conceded,” Mr Bavoria said.
Jai Kumar, Anil Kumar, Dhani Ram, Surinder Sharma, Ishtaq Qazi, Vijay Kumar, Joginder and others were also present on the occasion.
