BJP for connecting every household with party: Sood

JAMMU, July 14: BJP Mahila Morcha national vice-president & J&K Morcha Prabhari, Rashim Sood along with Member Parliament (Rajya Sabha) Shamsher Singh Manhas, BJP State president & former MLA, Ravinder Raina, Mahila Morcha State president, Rajni Sethi, Social Media & IT Incharge Jai Dev Rajwal, Membership State incharge, Jugal Dogra and Senior Citizen Cell State, convenor Dr. Nirmal Kamal launched the BJP membership drive at BJP Headquarter,here today.
The aim of this drive will further connect people from all walks of life with the BJP and it will strengthen the party, said Rashim Sood.
Sood said that more than 500, the new Mahila workers joined the party today with an aim to attract new more members and to reach and connect every household with the party. She said India’s integrity is safe under the leadership of Prime Minister, Narendra Modi. “We all need to strengthen the hands of the Prime Minister by joining with maximum members. “Sabka Saath, Sabka Vikas and Sabka Vishwas” is the tradition of our party and with these drives will further strengthen its roots across India, ”she added.
Shamsher Singh Manhas said that BJP has fixed a target of enrolling 17 lakh new members in the State out of which a target of more than 2 lakh has been set for Mahila activists during the membership drive which will end on August 11.”Anyone can become member by giving a missed call on a mobile number or by filling a form,” he said.
Rajni Sethi, while appreciating the efforts of Mahila Morcha activists in contributing to win Lok Sabha seats in the recently held elections in the State, said that women constitute about half of the population and their role in electing representatives for Assembly and Parliament is important.
State general secretary, Sanjita Dogra conducted the proceedings.
