JAMMU, Mar 3: A meeting of residents of Resham Ghar MCJ Ward No 13 was held here today, wherein they constituted an association in the name and style of ‘All Senior Citizens and Pensioners Welfare Association’.
From the gathering of about 200 members, Dr Mohan Lal Gupta was elected as president of the Association by the 21 founder members of the Association.
Further, Gupta nominated two patrons for the Association, one each for the senior citizens and pensioners. Sodagar Mal Gupta was nominated as patron for senior citizens while Chaman Lal Puri for pensioners.
The president of the Association also announced the name of Harbachan Singh as general secretary, Raghunandan Bali as vice-president, Rajesh Chander Vaid as secretary and Jagdish Dutt Kapoor as cashier.
