CS for re-energizing administrative setup

SRINAGAR, Mar 3: The Chief Secretary, Mohammad Iqbal Khandey said that every nerve would be strained to re-energise the administrative set up in Jammu and Kashmir for the welfare of the people, adding that public good will remain first priority of his service.
The Chief Secretary was addressing an interactive and introductory session, representing tourism, travel, trade bodies and media fraternity of Kashmir valley at Grand Palace here. The session was organized by Jammu and Kashmir Hoteliers Club in association with trade agencies to welcome the Chief Secretary.
The Divisional Commissioner, Kashmir, Dr. Asgar Hassan Samoon, Deputy Commissioner, Srinagar, Baseer Ahmad Khan and Deputy Commissioner, Anantnag, Farooq Ahmad Shah were present on the occasion.
Mr. Khandey said, ”I will try my best to come up to the expectations of the society. Although the responsibility of holding the top position in administration is very huge yet we together can plan our role and set things right at all levels”.
The Divisional Commissioner Kashmir while addressing the interactive session said that civil society has a critical role to play in making the State prosperous. He hoped that civil society will put in their efforts to ensure inflow of tourists in the Valley.
Deputy Commissioners of Srinagar and Anantnag also spoke on the occasion.
Heads of various trade agencies and associations accorded warm welcome to the Chief Secretary and shared their views for ushering era of development and prosperity in the State.
Among others, who spoke on the occasion include Musadiq Hussain of Hotelier Club, Showkat Choudhary of KHARA, Hamid Punjabi of KCCI, Yaseen Tuman of MASCOT Travels, Shamim Shafi of TAAI, Ghulam Hassan Kaloo of Press Association of Kashmir, Rashid Rahi of Editors Association of Kashmir, Qasim Sajjad of South Kashmir Journalist Association besides, Mohammad Qasim and Shakeel Qalandar.
