JAMMU, July 27: Bhartiya Lok Sangeet Kala Sansthan (BLSKS) in coordination with Sangeet Natak Academy here today organised an awareness programme on drug abuse.
The programme was inaugurated by the chief guest Bharat Bhushan, Director Social Welfare, whereas Archana Kumari, CAO and Ranbireshwar Singh Jamwal, Assistant Director, both from Directorate of Social Welfare Department were guests of honour.
The programme was focused on drug de-addiction, eradication of social evils like child marriage, illiteracy etc.
The cultural programmes to aware the gathering on harms of drug addiction comprised of songs, skits and dances.
Earlier welcome address was delivered by M.L Dogra, Chairman, BLSKS who said that addiction can make one sick by putting pushing to depression.
Musicians, actors and students who performed in the programme were Usha Handoo, J.K Raina, Kuldeep Raj, Chahat Chadha, Rajni Gupta and others.
