Shift PM package employees to Jammu : YAIKS

JAMMU, Aug 3: Youth All India Kashmiri Samaj (YAIKS) while expressing concern over prevailing situation in Kashmir in view of Government’s advisory issued to pilgrims, tourists, NIT students and migrant labourers urged the Government to ensure the security and safety of PM package employees working in Valley.
Talking to reporters here, today the president of YAIKS, R K Bhat said that the families of these employees in Jammu and other parts of country are anxious about the security and safety of their relations serving in Valley and the Government should also shift them to Jammu till situation normalises in Kashmir.
The other YAIKS leaders present in the press conference included B K Bhat, Sunil Koul, Manoj Handu Ajay Safaya, Sanjay Ganjoo and Rakesh Fotedar.
Bhat said in view of the prevailing situation in Kashmir and advisory issued by Government about the terror threats the fear psychosis have been created among the PM package employees in the Valley. He said package employees are already under security threat and Government should take extra care for their safety.
He said under the prevailing terror threat, the PM package employees, their families and old aged parents are feeling totally insecure and it is a major concern for YAIKS as well as entire community. He said as security agencies are on high alert in view of terrorist threat the Government should ensure safe passage of these employees to Jammu. YAIKS also warned that in case any harm was done to these employees the Government will be held responsible for the same.
Bhat said 75 percent of these employees are putting up in rented accommodations in different parts of Valley and they are feeling more insecure and unsafe under prevailing security scenario.
YAIKS appealed the Governor and the administration to shift these employees to Jammu immediately and declare them at par with other migrant employees from Kashmir till the normalcy is restored in Valley and conducive atmosphere is created.
