JAMMU, Aug 3: Director Command Area Development, (CAD), Jammu, O P Bhagat today visited Adaptive Trial cum Training Centre , Chak Jarallan Bishnah to review the functioning of various schemes viz Agronomy , Engineering , Soil testing Lab, Economics under Soil Waste Management Project.
During the review meeting the Director CAD observed that despite tremendous development in the field of agriculture there is still lot of scope for betterment in CAD with specific reference to soil testing and water management. He directed all the officers and officials to reach out to farmers and create awareness about the importance of soil testing and water conservation and make them aware about the latest agriculture practices and water management in crops. The aim is to grow more crop per drop.
The Director was accompanied by Jagmohan Bhat, project Officer, Soil and Water Management and other staff of the Directorate.
