SAMBA, Aug 4: Ramgarh police has recovered seven live rounds of AK 47 and a charger in an agriculture field at village Salarian in Samba district this morning.
According to SHO PS Ramgarh Vikram Manhas the rounds were in a polythene bag recovered from the field of Manpreet Singh alias Goldy , S/O Girdhari Lal of Chak Salarian. The farmer who was working in the filed found the rounds in a polythene bag and he informed the Sarpanch of the village about the same. Later the Sarpanch informed the Ramgarh Police Station and a team of police reached the spot and took the rounds and charger in its custody.
SHO said that over one and a half month back the agriculture canal passing via the fields was desilted by the Department and the labourers threw the debris and other filth recovered from the canal on its bank. The polythene bag would also have been recovered by the labourers who threw it along the bank. He said the police is still investigating the matter.
