NEW DELHI: President Ram Nath Kovind paid floral tributes to former President V V Giri on his birth anniversary on Saturday.
Mr Kovind paid homage to Late Giri at the Rashtrapati Bhawan here.
Varahagiri Venkata Giri, commonly known as V V Giri, was the fourth president from August 24 , 1969 to August 24 , 1974.
Giri was the only person to be elected as an independent candidate.
