SRINAGAR, Aug 16:
Northern Command Army Commander Lt Gen Ranbir Singh today said the Indian Army will give a befitting reply to any misadventure by the Pakistani army.
“Should there be any misadventure by Pak army, a befitting punitive response will be given, which will be remembered for times to come,” said the Army Commander, while speaking to a news agency, during his visit to forward areas of Kupwara in Kashmir.
Gen Singh, however, also complimented the ‘Awaam’ of Kashmir for their support and cooperation and urged them to maintain the sanctity of the process, which would usher in peace, security and development in the State.
“Pakistan’s attempts to push in terrorist infiltrators will not succeed,” he asserted, adding “Indian Army is alert and has been able to foil all attempts of infiltration; effective response to Ceasefive Violations.”
The Northern Command chief said the Indian Army is fully prepared, equipped and ready to undertake any task, along or across the LoC.
“Peace and security of our citizens – The Awaam of Kashmir – is our prime concern, while conducting any action,” he added. (UNI)
