Two drug peddlers arrested with heroin, intoxicant capsules

JAMMU, Aug 16: Police arrested two drug peddlers and recovered heroin and intoxicant capsules from their possession.
As per police sources, on specific information, a team from Bishnah Police Station laid a naka at Mehmoodpur and intercepted a Swift car bearing registration number JK02BF-1188.
During checking, police team recovered 8.1 grams heroin from the possession of the driver and arrested him.
The arrested person has been identified as Gurdeet Singh alias Prince alias Gora, son of Bhopinder Singh, a resident of Model Town Gangyal. The accused was a notorious criminal and was involved in many cases.
A fresh case under FIR Number 139/19 under section 8/21/22/27-A NDPS Act has been registered at Bishnah Police Station and investigation started.
Police team led by SHO Bishnah Inspector Deepak Pathania made the arrest under the supervision of SDPO RS Pura Sourabh Prasher, SP Headquarters Farooq Qaiser and SSP Jammu Tejinder Singh.
Meanwhile, a team from Bagh-e-Bahu Police Station laid a naka and intercepted a pedestrian, who was moving under suspicious circumstances.
During checking, police team recovered 140 intoxicant capsules from the possession of the pedestrian and arrested him.
The arrested person has been identified as Bhushan Kumar, son of Mela Ram, a resident of Bagh-e-Bahu.
A case under FIR Number 68/19 under Section 8/21/22 NDPS Act has been registered at Bagh-e-Bahu Police Station and investigation started to ascertain the source of the consignment.
