Cop among 3 held in land grabbing

JAMMU, Mar 6: Police today arrested three persons including a Delhi police constable, who were found involved in land grabbing case.
A complaint was lodged by one Satpal Singh, son of Gurdil Singh of Kashipur, Baramaulla, Srinagar that some persons were trying to grab his land measuring 4 kanals and 13 marla at village Chak Jarala, tehsil Bishnah, DySP Diwakar Singh said.
A case under FIR number 22/13 was registered at Bishnah police station and investigation started, he added.
SDPO RS Pura Diwakar Singh said that during course of investigation, it came to fore that Mulkh Raj alias Billa, son of Des Raj of Kotli Mian Fateh and Delhi police constable Subash Chander alias Raja, son of Vaishno Dutt of Chak Jarala, in connivance with the then patwari Kewal Krishan, son of Paras Ram of Sandi, district Samba and some other revenue officials and officers manipulated the revenue records.
In the Court, trio posed Narinder Pal Singh alias Kaka, son of Lal Singh and Sohan Singh, son of Roop Singh, both residents of Chowala as owners of the land and got the forged power of attorney in favour of Delhi Police constable.
After completion of investigation, three out of five accused namely Mulkh Raj, Subash Chander and Kewal Krishan were arrested, while manhunt has been launched to arrest the other two accused, DySP said, adding that further investigation into the case is going on.
