‘BJP committed to organisational democracy’

JAMMU, Aug 22: Maintaining that BJP MPs are fortunate enough that they are part of Modi led Government which abrogated controversial Article 370, BJP MP, national president of party’s SC Morcha and national co-incharge party’s organisational elections, Vinod Sonkar today said history of sorts was created that 370 votes were polled in favour of abrogation of Article 370 in Lok Sabha while those who forced the people of the State to bore its brunt for 70 long years got only 70 votes.

Addressing a meeting of BJP leaders and activists at Party headquarters here, today he said “we are fortunate enough that nation is led by a great leader like Narendra Modi who commands a good respect in the international community as well.” “It is our good luck that we are members of the party which has leaders like Modi and Amit Shah”, he added.
He said the unfinished task of Modi led Government is still incomplete and we are committed to retrieving of PoJK from the clutches of Pakistan. Had the Article 370 been so important then it would have not been temporary. Bhim Rao Ambedkar had shown his resentment before then Prime Minister, Jawahar Lal Nehru and said that “I am not going to commit such a sin with my countrymen”, he added.
Vinod Sonkar, while congratulating everybody for the abrogation of Article 370, said that long standing black spot on the Indian democracy has been wiped out with the realization of “Ek Vidhan aur Ek Nishan” along with “Ek Pradhan”, which was done away with after Dr. Shyama Prasad Mookherjee sacrificed his life in Jammu & Kashmir.
Sonkar said that there should be common civil code in the country and public representatives from Panchayat to Union Government should be strong enough who can take daring decisions in the interests of the nation.
BJP State president Ravinder Raina, State general secretary (Org.) Ashok Kaul, former Dy. CMs Dr. Nirmal Singh and Kavinder Gupta, former Minister, Sat Sharma, MLC Ashok Khajuria, State incharge organizational elections Varinderjit Singh, State co-incharge organizational elections Munish Sharma, State incharge membership campaign, Jugal Dogra also shared the stage during the meeting.
Ravinder Raina, welcoming national leader said BJP has a rich history of dedication and sacrifices since generations and the tradition must be kept alive with the conduct of fair elections by electing right candidate for every post. He said that this meeting will serve the purpose of “Training Camp” for all those party activists who are bestowed upon with the responsibility of carrying out the organizational elections in the region.
Ashok Kaul, in his address, said that this is the perfect time when we can contribute our bit in the reorganization of party. He thus asked the party men to become active game changers for the greater good. He prompted the district prabharis and district presidents for the declaration of election officers of the districts and Mandals. He asked them to carry out the task meticulously as this will form the base of a strong organization.
Varinderjit Singh, provided the details of the work carried out in the region for carrying out the process of “organizational elections” smooth and fair.
