JAMMU, Mar 7: Ex-Policemen League, District Jammu, has appealed the Director General of State Police for revival of SRO 458-P, dated 13-10-1999, which has been kept in abeyance.
A meeting of the League was held under the chairmanship of Dy SP (Retd) K S Sambyal for discussing various issues and demands of the retired cops.
Speakers in the meet urged the Police Department to come forward for extending a helping hand to the retired cops, who are suffering from different ailments and require costly treatment.
The meeting was attended by retired SSPs, SPs, DySPs, Inspectors and cops of others rank. They included Chirag-ud-Din, Bachan Singh, P R Sharma, V P Gupta, K L Bhagat, S M Koul, Anayat-Ullah Khan, Bushan Lal Garyali, Man Mohan Bali, Sartaz Alamgir and others.
