RAMBAN, Mar 7: One person was killed, while four others including eight-year-old girl were injured in head on collision of vehicles at Mihar area of the district here today.
Police spokesman said that, Surinder Singh of Chattisinghpora, Kashmir, was seriously injured, when his Maruti car bearing registration number JK21-6686 collided head on with a truck bearing registration number JKO2D-1043 at Mihar.
After the collision, the truck went on to hit an auto bearing registration number JK14B-1001, injuring its four passengers including eight-year-old girl, he added.
All the injured were shifted to district hospital, where doctors declared Surinder Singh as brought dead, while the condition of the four others, was stated to be stable, when last reports poured in.
The injured have been identified as Ghulam Mohd Bhat of Hochak, Charan Dass of Metra, 8-year-old Vandana Devi and Mohd Yaqoob of Seri bazaar.
A case has been registered at Ramban police station and manhunt has been launched to arrest the tipper driver, who fled from the spot, leaving behind the vehicle.
