SAMBA, Aug 24: Ghagwal police seized 220 litres of illegal diesel, while the accused managed to escape from the spot.
As per police sources, on specific information about illegal supply of diesel, a team from Ghagwal Police Station led by SHO Inspector Sudhir Sadotra under the supervision of DySP Headquarters Samba Tilak Raj Bhardwaj conducted raid.
Police team seized 220 litres of illegal diesel, while the accused person(s) fled away from the spot.
A case under FIR Number 76/19 under Section 3/7 Essential Commodities Act has been registered at Police Station Ghagwal and hunt has been launched to arrest the accused.
It is pertinent to mention here that a team from Ghagwal Police Station apprehended a shopkeeper for illegally storage of around 2000 litres of illegal diesel. A case also stands registered in this regard with Police Station Ghagwal.
