JAMMU, Aug 24: A shepherd was injured today when he was accidentally hit by a splinter while passing near Army’s firing range in Khour area of Akhnoor.
“The victim, Gopal Dass son of Girdhari Lal, resident of village Kalakas (Manna) falling under the jurisdiction of police post Joguwan was grazing his goats when he was hit by a splinter near Army’s firing range,” a police official said.
He said that Gopal received minor injuries and was rushed to Government Medical College and Hospital, Jammu for treatment. Joguwan police had taken cognizance of the matter.
