JAMMU, Aug 25: Nothing is unachievable in this world and no obstacle can stop the man from realizing his dreams if one determines and work hard for that. This has been proved right by an Udhampur boy who secured 10th rank in the prestigious Kashmir Administrative Services (KAS) Examination, the result of which was declared early this month.
Hailing from village Incha of tehsil Ramnagar and district Udhampur, Suresh Singh, who presently serves as a teacher, said that this achievement is his special and beautiful gift to his family, especially his late father, who used to run the affairs of his family by plying an auto-rickshaw and binding books.

In an exclusive interview to Excelsior, Suresh Singh said that he comes from a poor family but his father never compromised with his education and worked day and night so that he can pursue his education uninterruptedly and fulfill his dreams.
“My father used to ply an auto-rickshaw from morning to evening and book binding work in the evening. He always wanted me to become an officer and it is only his hard work and motivation that today I crack this prestigious examination,” Suresh said but regretted that today his dear father is not here to see his success.
He said after the demise of his beloved father in the year 2013, he started giving tuitions to children of his village before and after his college classes to support his family. “After completion of Bachelor degree, when I joined University of Jammu to pursue Master degree, I got real exposure and there some good friends of mine helped me a lot and further motivated me for this competitive examination”, he added.
Suresh told that in 2016, he was selected for the post of teacher and posted at a remote area, which was approximately 70 kilometres from his residence. He said while working as a teacher, he didn’t forgot his ultimate aim and prepared himself for the KAS Exam by studying before and after school hours and finally he cracked this prestigious exam this year with 10th rank.
The Udhampur boy has wrote an inspiring story for many youngsters to follow, who did not allow his poor financial conditions to come in the way of his success. He braved all odds happily and finally achieved success.
Asked about his message to the youth, Suresh Singh said, “Hard work is the only key to success but first you have to set a goal what you want to do in the life and then work hard with dedication and keep patience and faith on you as success may come late but it will definitely come one or other day”.
