JAMMU, Aug 26: Panthers Party President and former MLA Balwant Singh Mankotia today called on Divisional Commissioner Sanjeev Verma and drew attention towards some burning issues.
Pointing out that the Jammu airport will remain close for resurfacing work in October and all flights will remain suspended during that period, Mankotia demanded opening of Udhampur airport as alternative arrangement till the closure of Jammu airport so that the passengers may not suffer during the closure period.
Mankotia also reiterated the demand of rehabilitation of Saddal villagers flood victims. He said that even after five years, the administration has failed to take necessary steps for the rehabilitation due to which aggrieved villagers were still suffering.
Divisional Commissioner Sanjeev Verma listened to all the issues and assured Mankotia a positive consideration over the same.
