Seminar organized on ‘Art 370, 35-A’

JAMMU, Aug 28: A seminar was organized today by Student Study Circle, an initiative of ABVP, Jammu University Unit on ‘Articles 370 and 35-A.
Prof Rajnikant (Director, Distance Education, JU) was the guest of honor on the occasion while president of Bar Association of J&K High Court Abhinav Sharma and Chairman of IkkJutt Jammu, Advocate Ankur Sharma were the resource persons of the programme.
Speaking on the topic, Abhinav Sharma gave the detail information about the reason of abrogation of articles 35A and 370. He said that the people of Jammu and Kashmir have attained independence two times i.e. one on 15th August, 1947 and another on 5th August, 2019 when articles 370 and 35A were abrogated. He said both the articles were included through backdoor entries by the few politicians of the Government of India as well as Government of J&K.
Ankur Sharma advocated that both the articles were a curse for the people of Jammu and Kashmir. Both are responsible for the poverty, development and education. “They were a hindrance to maintain accountability by Central Government on State Government,” he added.
Prof Rajnikant Sharma said that people of J&K were suffering from three generations due to these articles. At last, he said the Student Study Circle of ABVP is doing very well job and has emerged as a resourceful platform for the scholars and students of University of Jammu.
Earlier, Student Study Circle Coordinator, Raghav Choudhary presented welcome address and started the proceedings of the seminar.
More than 50 students and scholars from different departments were present in the program.
