With abrogation of Art 370 priorities on J&K have changed: Chrungoo

Excelsior Correspondent
JAMMU, Aug 30: While terming the blunders committed by Congress and former Prime Minister, Jawahar Lal Nehru main cause for disturbing situation in Kashmir for last 72 years, BJP spokesperson, incharge Kashmir affairs, Ashwani Kumar Chrungoo today said that the times have changed, so have the priorities.
Addressing youth activists of BJP here, today he said Nehru’s way of thinking, Congress’s priorities and some of the Indian intellectuals bonhomie with Pak agents are slowly and steadily approaching their turn to take the last breath. Sooner the better, could be a wish, but everything has it’s own time and space, he added.
Chrungoo said political narration can expedite the process, therefore our priorities need a positive and rapid shift. When India refers to PoJK, the common Indians mean the land that has been illegally occupied by Pakistan irrespective of the fact that the whole chunk of this land has been cut to pieces, politically and geographically, by Pakistan. It is very few people who know that Gilgit, Baltistan, Hunza, Siachen and the areas ceded by Pakistan to China in the Karakoram range are fundamentally parts of the undivided Jammu and Kashmir State. The districts of Mirpur, Muzaffarabad and Poonch are not the only parts of the State which are under illegal control and occupation of Pakistan, he added.
He maintained that it would be appropriate to raise the issue of all these areas now onwards. Any talks with Pakistan would be subject to two conditions viz-a-viz terror and talks won’t go together and the talks would focus on the land of the J&K State that is under the illegal occupation of Pakistan and which India would ask for liberation as per the Parliamentary resolution of 1994, he added.
The earlier Governments led by the non-BJP parties have caused a great political, strategic, diplomatic and geographical damage to the Indian cause in Kashmir. Once, the internal issues such as Art370 and Art35A have been settled and the reorganisation of the State has taken place, the priorities have definitely changed for good, he added.
Chrungoo was highly appreciative of the External Affairs Ministry spokesperson’s statement which unequivocally condemned the highly irresponsible statements by Pakistani leadership on matters internal to India. These are very irresponsible statements by them. They are intruding into our internal matter, he added.
