Indian economy is strong and in right hands, says Anurag Thakur

HAMIRPUR,HP, Sept 1:
Union Minister of State for Finance and Corporate Affairs Anurag Thakur on Sunday maintained that the nation was heading towards becoming one of the leading most nations of World from the economic point of view.
The nation would achieve the target of generating economy to the tune of five trillion by year 2024-25, he told people at Mahre in this district.
Thakur strongly refuted the charges of former Prime Minister Manmohan Singh that Indian economy was in danger under the BJP Government. He said that the Congress party leaders were making such charges only to remain in news and to blame the BJP for its own failure during UPA-1 and UPA-2 Governments.
He maintained that the Indian economy was strong and the nation was all set to achieve the target of generating economy to the tune of five trillion by year 2024-25.
Thakur said that the country was heading towards becoming a well-knit economy thanks to timely and efficient steps taken on this front led by Prime Minister Narendra Modi and his team of Ministers.
He said that for the first time since Independence tax payers were being treated in a befitting manner and due respect was being given to the honest tax payers numbering about seven crores. The Central Government was taking all possible steps to strengthen the economy and to make India one of the leading economies of world.
The Union Minister claimed that the present Central Government was one of the strong will power governments that the nation had since Independence and steps like abrogation of article 370 in Jammu and Kashmir and to end triple talaq was main steps taken in this direction. He maintained that most of World nations were with India on Jammu and Kashmir issue and Pakistan had become isolated on this issue.
Thakur assured people that he would take up firmly the issues involing the state with the Central Government especially dealing with funds for various developmental projects. He said that development was the key of success and it would be taken up on war footing.
Thakur said that he would hold a meeting of the officers of the Hamirpur parliamentary constituency shortly to implement the central schemes in the area.
Earlier, the Minister was given a rousing reception on his reaching Mahre via Bhota. Former BJP MLA Baldev Sharma led the people of the area to greet the Minister and garlanded him with fresh rainy season flowers.
