CII organises awareness prog on road safety

JAMMU, Sept 3: Confederation of Indian Industry (CII) organized its second exclusive `Leadership Talk’ series with the title “Leadership Connect i3 Series: Ignite Minds – Inculcate Innovation – Inspire to Aspire” here today.
Ramashankar Pandey, one of the youngest professionals, CEO and Managing Director of Hella India Lighting Ltd, was invited as a guest speaker with a special focus on `Inspire to Aspire’ for all Industry members. Winner of Asia Pacific Entrepreneurship Award for 2016 in the promising category and with more than 18 years of entrepreneurial and “Turn Around” experience in the Auto component Industry, he comes with a vision of bringing ‘Technology of Tomorrow for the Life of Today’ to Indian roads.
Pandey enlightened about the road safety in India, with the history of Hella India, he emanates and mustered the courage to bring change for the safety of second most populous country in the world. He spoke passionately on his active engagement to fight the menace of alarming deaths on Indian roads by steering various road safety awareness campaigns as president – CWC of “Drive Smart, Drive Safe” organisation.
He argued that millions of Indian drive every day to their work and more than 400 never come back to their homes and families. India needs to arrest this alarming level of road accidents and we as responsible industry players should dedicate our development and production resources towards this mission.
During the session, he described about the great signs of a good leader and shared his career experiences. Also, he had an interactive open house discussion with all the present industry as well as institutional members.
Earlier, in his welcome address, Rajesh Sharma, Chairman CII J&K and Managing Director, SRA Foods & Beverages Pvt. Ltd briefed on the emphasis of these initiatives and mentioned these series brings together the speakers that are the best breed of entrepreneurs, innovators, and business model creators to present and discuss innovation and success. Later, he extended his gratitude to Pandey for such valuable insights on leadership and road safety in India.
