‘Vested interests spreading canards’

JAMMU, Sept 4: Avinash Rai Khanna, BJP national vice president & J&K Prabhari said that the post scrapping Article 370 and 35A situation has paved the way for total integration and progress of the Jammu, Kashmir and Ladakh.
Khanna who was addressing a meeting at BJP Central office New Delhi. During the meeting Ashwani Kumar Chrungoo, BJP State spokesperson on Kashmir Affairs presented a brief of the situation in Kashmir to Khanna. Chrungoo made an elaborate presentation regarding the political and administrative situation prevailing in the State.
There is a concerted effort put by certain vested interests including a section of foreign media to project fake news about Kashmir situation which is being rebuffed by the Kashmir watchers in the country as well as abroad. The stories of communication and information blockade are spread by urban nexalites and Congressmen while there is perfect calm and peace in the Valley.
These elements are more interested in violence and disruption of law and order in the valley so that they could find a political agenda to bank upon.
Article 370 and Article 35A worked as an administrative and constitutional tool to inflict gender discrimination and human rights violation upon the people of the State. The classification of the J&K Society into first class, second class and third class citizens was the reality of this so-special status politics.
Avinash Rai Khanna said that it is for the first time that “refugees” and “West Pakistan” would be the nomenclature of the past. Women folk would enjoy equal status and the Safai Karamcharis would be an equal partner in the progress of the J&K.
He said that the Government would be taking a number of welfare measures in the State and employment of the youth is our first priority. This year on the directions of the national president, Amit Shah, the BJP will be organising the ‘Seva Saptaha’ from 14th September to 20th September 2019. A number of service and environment related activity would be undertaken throughout the country.
Kashmir will also be in our focus in this regard where a number of such activity will be shaped up during this week. On 17th September 2019, there will be a special Seva programme in connection with the birthday of Prime Minister, Narendra Modi. He gave directions to observe the special week in the Kashmir Valley.
