China Jan-Apr property investment up 18.7 pct on yr

BEIJING, May 11: China’s real estate investment rose 18.7 percent in the first four months from a year earlier, down from an annual increase of 23.5 percent in the first quarter, the National Bureau of Statistics said Friday.
Revenue from property sales in the country fell 11.8 percent in the January-April period from a year earlier, compared with an annual drop of 14.6 percent in the first three months, the agency added in a statement published on its website, www.Stats.Gov.Cn.
