JAMMU, Sept 7: A delegation of All State Kashmiri Pandit Conference(ASKPC) led by its president ,Adv. Ravinder Raina called on Relief and Rehabilitation Commissioner, Tej Krishan Bhat in his office Chamber and discussed various problems faced by the internally displaced persons with him.
Delegation apprised him that there should be time bound disposal of all cases whether inclusion, deletion, bifurcation, issuance of backward certificate or migration certificates. It said displaced community is facing all types of ailments and are not in a position to get specific treatment for the same may be brought under Ayushman Bharat Scheme.
It demanded Sadbhavna programme organized by Army and other security forces may also be extended to the children residing at different camps and to the students studying in camp schools so that these children get chance to have tour to various states to have exposure to various places, languages and culture of the country.
It stressed on construction of sports grounds at various camps on priority so that children can play various games to produce healthy atmosphere in camps, rather than moving towards drug addiction.
The delegation demanded quality ration with regular supply , contractors who are repairing and renovating the quarters be made accountable and directed to complete the renovation of one quarter and then move to other and adequate medicines should be made available inc camp.
ASKPC complimented the Relief Commissioner who showed his concern towards migrants’ and gave on spot instructions to the concerned staff. He assured the delegation that there is and will be time bound disposal to all the cases. Regarding Ayushman Bharat, he said that Government has agreed to extent this programme to Kashmiri migrants and it will be applicable to Relief holders at first instance in shortest possible time. He further said Relief Organization is going to take up the issue of Sadhbhawna programme with concerned authorities.
Regarding play grounds he said the Organisation has taken up the issue to the Sports Council and they have agreed to construct and maintain the sports stadium at Jagti and organization is very much after it. He said tehsildars and zonal officers are keeping watch on the quality of the ration supplied to the migrants and if any migrant finds that ration supplied by the dealer is not good to consume should directly approach to the organisation. He said Government has formulated three committees on medical claims and cases are expedited at fast track. Dr T K Bhat, R K Wangnoo, Bharat Bushan Gosani and O N Koul were other members of delegation.
