UDHAMPUR, Sept 11: Villagers of Battal Balian today protested against polluting industries (Red Category) in the area and appealed Governor Satya Pal Malik to order immediate shifting of these units.
The protesting people raised slogans against district administration and Pollution Control Department for their failure to take action against these 15 units of Cement and Insecticides which fall in Red category. “Local are facing diseases of skin, eye and asthma etc because of the pollution emanating from these dangerous and harmful industries which are a great threat to the lives of people here, they said.
Protesting people appealed the State Government to shift these industries of pesticides and cement anywhere else for saving their lives.
