SRINAGAR, Sept 12: Senior BJP leader and MLC Vibodh Gupta visited Kupwara district and assured the locals that their security is the Government’s responsibility.
He also assured them that their welfare is the Government’s prime concern. ‘Government will make every effort to provide better education to the children in the valley and plethora of opportunities for youth’, he told them.
As part of confidence building measures, Vibodh visited several parts of the valley in the past few days and interacted with locals to assess the situation on the ground zero.
Gupta convened meetings with different communities including Paharis and Gujjars who welcomed the Government’s decision of abrogating Articles 370 and 35-A.
Vibodh also addressed local party workers along with media incharge of Kashmir valley Manzor Bhat, District President Arshid Zargar and Sayed Umer Sultan. He penned down various problems being faced by the locals and communicated the same to the civil and police administration. He met DC Kupwara Anshul Garg and SSP Shri Ram to highlight key issues for better public welfare.
Addressing the media persons, Vibodh said that the scrapping of Article 370 has ignited the spark of hope and dream of new J&K based on 3P’s–progressive, peaceful and progressionist principles among the residents of J&K. He called the people of border belts of Kupwara, Uri, Keran, Karna and Lolab as guardian of the border after army.
He told that the valley is limping back to normalcy with the town witnessing normal traffic. Autos and cars were seen plying on the roads and several of the shops remained open, he informed.
