Tawi Andolan expresses concern over erratic power supply

JAMMU, Sept 12: Expressing concern over the erratic power supply, Chander Mohan Sharma, president Tawi Andolan today appealed to the Governor administration to restore uninterrupted electric supply to the people of Jammu.
He also said that long and unscheduled power cuts have made the lives of people a hell.
“Despite paying electricity bills the people are not being provided electricity and this is a violation of civil human rights,” Sharma said while addressing a meeting of Tawi Andolan here.
He said that all this is due to the slackness on part of PDD.
“Mega transformer was to be replaced at Gladni station. As per plan new electric station was to be installed at Janipur and other similar places. Steps are required to be taken for improvement of power infrastructure,” Sharma further said.
The meeting was attended by working president of Tawi Andolan, Prof. B.L Bhardwaj; Vice President, Bhalwinder Singh Bhatia; General Secretary, Kulwant Singh, Romesh Sharma, Veena Bakshi, Rama Sharma, Mohni Sharma, Ajay Kumar, Ravi Kumar, Shush Pal and others.
