Bail denied in gang rape case

JAMMU, Sept 13: Principal Sessions Judge Reasi Kamlesh Pandita has rejected the bail applications of Kuldeep and Rinku, who were allegedly involved in gang rape case.
After hearing both the sides, court observed, “there is no dispute that the accused persons have been charged for the offences punishable under Sections 376-D/366/109 RPC. In this case prosecution has examined prosecutrix, her mother and one of her sister. The offences alleged to have been committed by the accused persons are heinous and also against the society at large”.
“The accused persons facing the trial along with other co-accused persons who have absconded from the trial are involved in gang rape which offence is very much against the society and against the person of the victim and leaves an indelible mental scar on the victim”, the court further observed.
“In fact, rape is a seed of trauma that shall unfold in victim’s mind for rest of her life. Rape permanently alters a person’s existence”, the court said while rejecting the bail applications.
