JAMMU, Sept 15: One day conference of Private schools was held here today under the chairmanship of Kamal Gupta, President J&K PSA, Jammu.
General Secretary of the Association Ajay Gupta briefed the gathering about agenda of the meeting which included impact and threat of ‘National Education Policy 2019″on the Private schools functioning in J&K, delay in the approval of fee of Private Educational Institutions due to the non availability of Chairman FFC.
Problems like defying the guidelines for granting insurance by the General Insurance companies to the school buses ferrying 1.5 times more students below 12 years than its capacity as per the guidelines issued by the Supreme Court of India were also included in the agenda.
While speaking, the members from different districts of Jammu division showed serious concern over “NEP-2019” as all policies of the Government of India shall now directly hit all the business establishments due to the creation of UTs. They appealed to the Government of India to be liberal for the low budget private schools functioning in the Jammu, Kashmir & Ladakh till adequate educational infrastructure is established and raised. They demanded the continuation of all policies and rules as per the Jammu and Kashmir School Education Act, 2002 to support the low budget Private schools. Members unanimously appealed and demanded from Government of India to enact & grant special provision to save the identity of the locals as is done in Article 371 to give real benefits to those who have been deprived of these benefits by the past successive Governments.
For immediate disposal of files of Jammu Division by the Fee Fixation Committee, President of the Association Kamal Gupta appealed to the Government to grant extension to Justice (Retd) Imtiyaz Hussain, Chairman FFC whose tenure has lapsed on July 26, 2019. Shift all the files of Jammu division to Jammu which were taken to Srinagar during Darbar move so that Jammu people don’t suffer without any reason, he demanded.
