IIM Jammu signs MoU with ESC Clermont School of Mgmt

JAMMU, Sept 17: Indian Institute of Management (IIM) Jammu signed memorandum of understanding (MoU) with ESC Clermont Graduate School of Management, France for academic and research collaboration.
The MoU was signed by Prof BS Sahay, Director IIM Jammu and Audrey Estèves, Head of International Relations, ESC Clermont Graduate School of Management. IIM Jammu is the fourth IIM to sign MoU with ESC Clermont Graduate School of Management after IIM Ahmedabad, IIM Bangalore, and IIM Indore in India.
“Academic collaborations are vital part of IIM Jammu’s internationalization endeavors and this co-operation program aims to foster advancement in teaching, research, cultural understanding, as well as international reputations of both institutions through student exchange, faculty members exchange, joint management development programs/executive education programs, exchange of academic information and materials, organizing joint research programs, organizing joint conferences as well as study tours,” Prof Sahay said.
ESC Clermont Graduate School of Management was established in 1919, the school of management is a Grande Ecole that is recognized by the French Ministry of Higher Education and Research. The Business School holds AACSB accreditation and is among top hundred business schools in Europe. It offers undergraduate and postgraduate programs.
Prof Sahay said that the collaboration is aimed at providing IIM Jammu students an opportunity to have learning experience from international environment. “It will also help them attain valuable knowledge in a different ecosystem and enable them to know about and learn from their peer group at the partner institute. Further, it will assist them to sharpen their practical skills, make them better equipped to work in culturally diverse groups and contribute enormously to their professional as well as personal development,” he added.
