JAMMU, May 11: D N Kissu chairman Non Camp organization has expressed grave concern over the broad day light chain snatching incidents in the Durga Nagar area.
In a statement issued here today Mr Kissu urged the police to maintain a vigil in the locality so that the people especially women folk don’t feel harassed.
He expressed shock the way an octogenarian women Dhanwati Bhat wife of late Radha Krishan Bhat was attacked by some robbers during broad day light and duped of all the gold ornaments she was wearing.
He said the women fell unconscious in the lane and over six tolas of Gold she was wearing was taken away by the robbers. The incident has sent shock waves in the area and people especially the women feel scared.
Mr Kissu said though FIR was lodged by her family members in local police post but no one has been arrested of far. He urged the Police authorities to start investigation and arrest the robbers.
