JAMMU, Sept 23: 3rd Additional Sessions Judge Jammu Subash C Gupta has rejected the bail application of one Narinder Kumar, son of Madan Lal of Deoli Bishnah, who was allegedly involved in a rape case.
“There is an increase in graph of crimes against women particularly of sexual molestation/ harassment, sexual exploitation, rape etc. In the present matter, gravity, heinous and seriousness of the crime committed of sexual intercourse can safely be kept in such a category as same has been committed with the prosecutrix under the false promise of solemnization of marriage”, the court observed.
“It is generally seen that girls are eloped and subjected to sexual offences of molestation, rape etc under the pretext of developing friendship and love affairs with them. In some cases, these fraudsters, subsequently, continue – sexual exploitation of the young girls by making false promise of marriage, fully knowing from the very beginning that they are not going to honour or otherwise fulfill the same”, the court further observed.
With these observations, court rejected the bail application.
