Former MLA demands GDCs

JAMMU, Sept 23: Former MLA and Spokesperson JKPCC Ashok Kumar has urged the Governor Satya Pal Malik to sanction new Government Degree Colleges for Rajgarh and Assar as these area are far flung and economically backward.
He said that the girl students of these areas face manifold problems to continue their higher education due to accommodation problems and economic conditions of their families.
“One new Government Women Degree College should be sanctioned for these most hilly and remote areas, so that female students can continue their higher education and become self dependent”, he said.
He also demanded starting of Government Hostel for boys and girls at GDC Ramban.
Former MLA also asked PWD to repair the motorable road of GDC Ramban as its conditions is very bad.
