JAMMU, Sept 24: All J&K State Pensioners Association here today held a meeting under the chairmanship of their President, Madan Lal Abrol.
Speakers in the meeting appealed to the Governor to issue DA from July to the pensioners of the State before the upcoming festivals.
In a handout the pensioners demanded the raised medical allowances which were raised from January 1, 2016 @ Rs. 1000 per month as given to the central Government employees and pensioners.
They further said that ID cards should also be given to the pensioners.
Meanwhile, the Association has hailed the steps taken by the government to improve the pay and other benefits of central Government and J&K State Government employees.
Other present in the meeting were Yash Paul Sanson, Des Raj Sharma, Bhagat Singh, Puran Chand Khajuria, Madan Lal Sharma, Bhushan Pargal, Rakesh, Raj Kumar, Bansi Lal, B.L Sharma and others.
